HELP! CAN'T FIND.....

Searched high & low for the panko crusted soft-shell crabs.  Does anyone know if they still have this item?  "What's Cooking"  has posted about this one.....

PORK TENDERLOIN

Stuffed with spinach, corn & cream cheese (or maybe it was feta cheese).
Family gave it a thumbs up.
Another for the microwave, although it took longer to cook than the directions indicated.  You could also bake in oven.

This comes in the open-freezer section (vacuum-packed in a tray).

$12.27

Starbucks Frappuccino
Variety/12 pk.
vanilla
coffee

PEPPERS/BEWARE!

I bought one of the big bags of multi-colored bell peppers...the ones that come 6/bag in the produce section.  I had to dig down into the second box to find a bag that didn't have mold.  It was kind of hard to see....you really need to inspect the bag well before you buy!

FLUFFY TOWELS

These towels are going to sell fast.
They are so soft & fluffy...nice size.
$7.99
HYGRO Bath towels.
Chocolate brown
Tan
White
Pale Green

They were almost out of the white ones.

CHINESE

Bourbon Chicken
Perdue is the brand name.
fully cooked bite-sized breaded chicken pieces in a sweet bourbon glaze/sauce
Comes frozen in a 56 oz. bag.  $12.99
Bakes for 8 minutes.
Serves 19 (yeah, right...only if you are feeding 19 birds.  Husband and Child #2 ate half the bag in one meal.)

Served it over rice with a little oriental sauce that was in the fridge.  It needed a little more sauce for them.  They gave it a thumbs up!

I'm really into super quick & easy meals this week.

VEGGIE LASAGNA & WINE & SOUP

I'm too lazy to go check the freezer for the brand name, but the Vegetable Lasagna is very very good.  Comes in the frozen section (over by the meats).  $11.99 & the box has 2 small trays.  You can get 4 servings from 1 tray.  The absolute best thing is that you can microwave this & it's done in about 8 minutes.  250 calories per serving.

The Cameron Hughes Lot 86 Zinfandel is $10.99/bottle.  TRY IT!

Corn & Chicken Chowder (i think i found this in the area near the dips & cheese)....I loved this. Add a little crumbled bacon & a bit of chopped cilantro for a garnish on top & it looks as good as it tastes.

Chicken Tamales

Chicken Tamales.  These are the large bagged chicken tamales in the refrigerator/appetizer section.  Had them 2 nights ago and they were inedible.

Also, just a note:  tried a 3 1/2 lb. beef tenderloin, and the taste was very strange.  My boys didn't mind too much, but my husband and I could not eat it.  Prepared it the usual way, but this one was a waste of $$$.

Bad week for Costco foods.

Has anyone tried the stir fry selections in the refrigerated/appetizer section near the meat dept?  They had beef w/veggies stir fry and some pad thai chicken dish.

Check it out.

A GREAT INVENTION!

This is the neatest invention.  Pancake batter in a squirt can (like Redi-Whip whipped cream). Why didn't I think of this?  My friend, S., bought this at Sam's/The Dreaded Competitor (where none of us shop anymore!).  She said it comes in a 3-pk.  All you do is spray a non-stick pan/griddle with Pam cooking spray & squirt the batter!

NOW....has anyone seen this at Costco?
